we require an engineer who will be responsible for a programme of work which is designed to prove that the new product meets specifications. Key functions Product design validation, verification and test including ; Functional, Thermal and EMC. Although software controlled only hardware verification work is needed. Work must be documented to a high standard. A technician will be available to assist with testing on a part time basis. Skills required The product is a motor controller with MOSFET power stage and microprocessor control. The job holder will therefore need the following skills, abilities and experience:- ? Analogue and digital circuit design ? Experience in power electronics ? Testing of electronic circuits and systems ? Environmental testing ? Exceptional fault finding skills ? Excellent report writing skills ? Working in an ISO9001 quality environment ? Appreciation of importance of quality assurance and the role of test and product verification*validation ? Structured approach to problem solving ? Good planning and organizational skills ? Familiarity with MS applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
Duration Expected duration 3 months Possible extension to 5 months Salary Expected to be from £25 to £35 per hour. Working hours Nominal hours 37 per week. May work up to 45 hours per week. Overtime at standard rate. Start date Preferred start date as soon as possible on or after 10th January 2005 Latest start date 17th January 2005
